Our team has vast experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical and power plant industries. From our engineers to our sales team and every one in between, we are passionate about designing and supplying faster, safer, more cost effective tools to our clients around the world.

President and CEO

Doug founded Vital Industrial Solutions in 2015.

Doug earned an M.B.A (Finance), along with undergraduate degrees in Economics & Commerce, and Professional Certificates in Contract Negotiation & Project Management.

Doug’s previous work experience includes:
  • New Ventures Development Specialist for an integrated Oil and Gas Company in Calgary, AB.
  • Canadian Manager of a large-scale Wind Farm EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) firm in Mississauga, ON.
  • President of a Specialty & Industrial Gas Distribution company with a focus on the petrochemical industry in Sarnia, ON.

Outside of work Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, coaching and playing many sports, and playing his acoustic guitar.

Steve Rothman

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Steve has been with Vital since its inception in 2015. Steve is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the University of Toronto.

As the CFO of the company, Steve is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and analyses, banking and funding of our operations, tax planning and compliance, risk management, all administrative functions and assisting the CEO with organizational structure and, development and execution of the strategic direction of the company.

Steve has held senior finance and management positions with companies involved in real estate development and management, healthcare and provision of services and industrial equipment to the petrochemical industry.

Outside of work Steve enjoys spending time with my family and friends, playing golf and travelling.

Mike has been with Vital since July, 2021 and has a degree in Business Administration from Ryerson University. Mike is responsible for the financial functions and controls across the organization. Insuring accurate and timely reporting for financial statements and related schedules. Outside of work Mike enjoys music, sports and exploring nature.

Jody has been with Vital since 2016, has 40 years experience in the manufacturing industry and is involved in all facets of the daily operations at Vital Tools. His certifications and education include:

Heath Grossi

Vice President, Regional Manager U.S.

Heath has been an integral part of the Vital team since 2019, serving as the Sales Regional Manager responsible for overseeing operations across the USA. Heath boasts a comprehensive background in various technical disciplines, including ASME PCC1 Qualified Bolting, Ultra Sonics, and on-site machining, with extensive experience in Oil & Gas service companies, complemented by his formal education at ABC Trade School.

Heath's professional journey encompasses a diverse range of roles, including a Machinist , U.S. Specialty Service Manager , and Vice President of Operations. His multifaceted experiences have equipped him with a profound understanding of the industry.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Heath finds solace in activities such as deer hunting, often sharing these cherished moments with his son and father.

Heath's dedication and passion for cultivating success are evident in his track record of successfully launching and expanding businesses and service lines. He has orchestrated these achievements with three separate companies, all of which continue to thrive and expand annually. At Vital, Heath relishes the opportunity to spearhead the establishment of new locations and contribute to the sustained growth of the organization.

Waddah's illustrious career as a marketing professional spans various industries, including Oil & Gas, Biotechnology, and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods). Some of his notable career highlights include holding management positions at the following companies:

Waddah holds a Certified Sales & Marketing Professional (CSMP) certificate from the Sales & Marketing Certification Institution and also possesses undergraduate degrees in Economics.

Waddah takes solace in the company of his wife and two feline companions. He is an avid nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking adventures and leisurely strolls. Additionally, he is known to lace up his soccer boots for a spirited game on the field.

Waddah firmly believes that his experiences have taught him valuable lessons about the keys to success: attitude and passion.

Health and Safety Manager/ Logistics Expert

Dayle joined Vital Tools in 2021, bringing expertise to her role as the Health and Safety Manager. With a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety Training, coupled with First Aid Training, Dayle is committed to ensuring a secure and healthy workplace for all.

In her pivotal role at Vital, Dayle manages HSA & Logistics Operations, overseeing shipping and receiving procedures. Her prior experience includes successful management of a lumber yard, which has equipped her with a deep understanding of operational logistics and safety protocols.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dayle enjoys quality time with friends and family, indulging in reading, and adventurous travels.

Ryan Archer

Shop and Production Manager

Ryan started working at Vital in 2022. As the Shop and Production Manager Ryan is tasked with working with our team and vendors/suppliers to meet Vital Tool’s customers’ demands in a timely manner.

Ryan’s previous work experience includes 25 years managing teams that develop, build and run Oil and Gas Drilling Rigs.

Outside of work Ryan spends the summer months enjoying time with family and friends at his trailer in Northern Ontario. He also enjoys spending time in his Shop creating and fabricating unique and one off things.

Business Systems and Purchasing

Ashiq has been with Vital since March, 2021 and has a Bachelor in Technology, Post Graduation Diploma in Project Management. Ashiq is responsible for purchasing, accounts receivables and inventory.

Jimmy Nguyen

Jimmy started at Vital in 2021 and manages the Corpus Christi Sales Region. In his duties he is responsible for business development in the Corpus region and upkeep of daily duties in the local office.

Jimmy’s previous work experiences includes:
  • Operations Manager for a large golf course service company
  • Controlled bolting sales manager in Petro Chemical

Outside of work Jimmy loves golfing and fishing.

John has been with Vital since 2019 and manages the Sulphur Shop, John’s duties include Managing the shop staff, servicing and repairing equipment, quotes, orders and maintenance.

John started at Vital in 2022 and manages the Houston Sales Region. In his duties he is responsible for business development, upkeep of the local shop, and equipment fulfillment duties in the Houston region.

John’s previous work experiences includes:
  • Deer Park Operations Manager for a large industrial machinery manufacturing company
  • Lead Field Technician with multiple industrial machinery manufacturing companies

Outside of work John enjoys spending time with his family of 6, fishing, and woodworking.

Mike has been with Vital since September 2023. His valuable experience spans a range of disciplines, with expertise as an ASMI PCC1 Qualified Bolting, Specialist Instructor in hydraulic torque, bolt tensioning, line isolation, weld testing, nut splitting and flange spreading, and field machining operations; as well as commercial roles with several different departments, staff, and customers.

Michael's work experience includes:
